Change the Field, Change Matter: Part II

If you missed part I, click here. …To The Inverse of Materialism If you took your attention off of your body, your life, your identity, the thing things you own, the people you know, the places you go, and the concept of time, the only thing you’d be left with is pure consciousness. That means you’d be disinvesting your attention and energy out of this 3D reality and placing it on this immaterial realm called the quantum field—a place in which only energy, light, and information exists as frequency. And if where you place your attention is where you place [...]

United in Blooms of Consciousness

When you stare into a beautiful, expressive flower, it is very easy to understand how it is connected to all of nature. Originating in the unseen beneath the earth’s surface, the flower begins as the possibility of a seed. When environmental conditions such as water, temperature, oxygen, soil, and photosynthesis conspire, these conditions enable the seed to become a sprout. The sprout then grows into a bloom, which is the full expression of the flower as matter. It is nothing short of a miracle that a simple seed stored with so much potential ultimately becomes an expression of something so [...]

The Magical Language of Serendipity and Synchronicity

All of us, in one way or another, are focused on turning the vision into a reality—landing the dream job, the ideal relationship, the perfect house, a book or record deal, healing an ailment. By focusing your energy on this new potential, experience, or outcome, what you’re actually doing is creating and summoning a new possibility from the quantum field (the place where all possibilities exist) into your life. This action is what creates a new future. If you are truly trusting in a new future, which means you’re open to the unfolding of your life according to its own [...]

Playing in the Field

In Chicago this summer, the band the Grateful Dead celebrated their 50th anniversary with three sold out concerts at Soldier Field Stadium. Love’em, hate’em, or don’t understand’em, it’s a commendable achievement of longevity, devotion, practice, and fruition. One of the band’s popular songs was called Playing In the Band. Famous for their improvisational jams, the Grateful Dead’s studio version released in 1971 ran 4:37, yet when played live, the band could extend the song from 15-30 minutes—and sometimes even longer. Like most songs, or even art for that matter, creation begins with structure. Let’s say for argument’s sake a song [...]

My Thoughts on the Global Meditation

Our workshops have historically been about people overcoming themselves, about an individual getting something they want or need by using the meditations we provide. This focus on self is healthy given the right context. After all, only when we take care of ourselves are we truly able to care for others. Put another way, people who are hyper focused on themselves are less likely to think about the issues others face. We came up with the idea for the live global streaming meditation from listening to the comments made by students in our Advanced Workshops. We saw how 550 participants [...]

The Frequency of Life

You wake up; rub the sleep from your eyes, maybe yawn and then what? If you own a smart phone the next step probably includes checking your email, Facebook, texts, or a favorite news site. The world is quite literally in our hands. We have 24/7 access to a wealth of information that has radically transformed how we live. Take a moment to think about your typical day. How much time is spent in front of a screen? And yes, I realize you’re staring at one now while you read this post. There are valid reasons to stay connected whether [...]

Global Meditation & The Crisis in Europe: How You Can Help

In recent weeks a number of people have contacted my office with concerns about the refugee and migrant crisis in Europe. Millions have fled their homes in places like Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. These people are leaving behind countries torn apart by war and economic hardship in hopes of finding a better life elsewhere. The question many ask is: what can I do? More than seven billion people live on Earth. This is an intimidating number, one that makes any attempt by an individual to solve a problem seem fruitless. After all, what happens if you do something to help? [...]

Biophotons: The Light in Our Cells

There are trillions of cells that make up your body. For the moment I want you to think about just one. That one cell is incredibly busy. In just the last second there were over 100,000 chemical reactions that occurred in this cell. Now, step back and consider your body as a whole. The sheer volume of activity happening inside you at any given moment is almost incomprehensible. With so much information being processed all at once, it’s fair to ask how it all works. The consensus in the scientific community used to focus on a mechanistic approach to explain [...]

Observing the Supernatural: My Reflections on Carefree

Wow! That’s really the best way I can think of to describe my experience at the Advanced Workshop in Carefree, Arizona. I’ve been a part of many workshops over the years but this one was arguably the best. 500 people came with the desire to further their development, hone the skills needed to cultivate lasting change and literally become supernatural. I get excited before every event but the Advanced Workshop is different. The week before I generally don’t get much sleep because I’m ready to get started and to see people put the work to use. My attention and my [...]

Playing Your Brain’s Symphony: Staying in Tune

If you’ve seen 2001: A Space Odyssey you’re probably familiar with the movie’s iconic theme song. The piece – Also Sprach Zarathustra by composer Richard Strauss – starts quietly with a low, almost menacing organ. The composer holds the notes for about twenty seconds then breaks the tension with a soft horn that builds into a triumphant bum-bum. A lumbering bass drum enters with what has become an instantly recognizable cadence that resets the music and starts the theme over again. I picked this piece of music because it’s familiar but also to illustrate a point. What would happen if [...]
